Hanukkah, or Chanukah (?) is such a fun, celebratory time of year. I love how many brands are embracing the holiday. There are so many ways to bring the joy of the festival of lights into your home and to share it with others.
As the author of a Hanukkah book, I like to keep tabs on what's new for Hanukkah, whether it's gifts, merch, or events. I have suggestions for hosting, playing, entertaining, eating, and more! And yes, some of the product recommendations are my own.
Read on for inspiration for holiday gifts and things to get for yourself that I curated from small businesses and mainstream brands. Let's celebrate!
Host with the Most
Gifts for entertaining on Hanukkah (or any time of year)

The GoldKatzCreation Love Apron is the perfect ware for holiday frying
I got my in-laws a fountain like this and I have one myself. The ZionLionJuaica Kiddush Fountain is so beautiful and it's perfect for hosting Shabbat and on the holidays. Pour the wine at the top, and it quckly divides the wine into small glasses for the blessing.
The Pottery Barn Star of David Platter has made the list two years in a row. It's so cute for latkes and toppings, dessert, candy, or gelt.
Now's the time to read or gift Instagram star and Buba owner Bengingi's new book Eat Small Plates.
I like Seed + Mill's products, so I'd definitely make a recipe from the owner's new cookbook, Sesame.
A Hanukkah cocktail would be perfect in the Crate&Barrel Dreidel Glass.
These The Nosh Table napkins are so cute for a holiday party.
For anyone wanting more Jake Cohen, get them his new cookbook, Dinner Party Animal.
I designed and drew all the cartoons for Robin Weiss' cookbook, Kugehals. It's adorable (no, I'm not biased!).
Phone-free Fun
Put your phone down and enjoy these analog activities

If you know someone who already plays Mahjong, this Shalom mat from Oh My Mahjong is perfect. Everything on their site is giving Boca retiree, and I love it.
My book, Hot Jewish Hanukkah, is a naughty and nice guide to all eight nights.
I love everything Susan Alexandra, and her New York Dreidel is a delight.
The Another Hyper-Fixation Pickleball Set will help anyone stand out on the court, and can compensate for bad plays with humor.
My Danielle in Doodles Mitzvah or Shandah is a Jewish conversational card game that is popular as a gift or to bring along to holiday gatherings.
Pick a card and dive into some wisdom thanks to the Jessica Tamar Deutsch Jewish Mystic Cards.
Light in the Beit
Add Jewish and holiday flair all over your home

The Tchotchke Bubble Menorah is having a moment — and for good reason. It's adorable.
Remember all holidays with my playful balloon calendar magnet or a more classic design.
These Spritz Stuffies from Target are so cute — I'd buy them for myself if I had space.
I received a Homesick Challah-Day candle as a gift from the brand. The packaging is adorable and I loved it. It smells like vanilla and donuts, but it is not overpowering.
If that isn't enough, get DST Fragrance Donut Shoppe Linen Spray so everything smells like donuts for all 8 nights.
The Susan Alexandra Laguna Menorah is holiday-approved and art for the rest of the year.
As someone who got engaged recently, I've looked at a lot of ring dishes. I wish I saw the Salt Sparkle Shalom Personalized Ring Dish earlier because it's so cute, and connects to the Jewish thread of my relationship.
It's cold in New York. Fill the Anthropologie Hanukkah Mug with hot chocolate for the rest of the holiday, and month!
I follow Karen Cinnamon, who is always kvelling about this Israeli-owned band, so I included the Fre Brighten Eye Serum!
Kitchen Staples
Always have Jewy foods stocked

For anyone brave enough to make their own donuts, the Manischewitz Donut Mix looks inviting! Pair with the Dash Donut Maker.
I bought Seed + Mill Tahini at a Hanukkah market last year. We used it in a few months and reordered. It's so good and smooth and never got clumpy.
Jews love soup, and The Art of the Broth makes enjoying our pastime easy.
I met the founder of Chutzpah Coffee and he sent me a bag. This coffee is delicious. It was a hit with my friends, too, and I love knowing my caffeine fix supports a Jewish brand.
I came across the Sababa Foods Saturday Sauce. It just looks like something people need.
This seasoning is stepping things up. You can't go wrong with The Rebbe's Choice Hot Everything Bagel Spice.
About a year ago my sister asked for a bottle of Graza for Hanukkah. I'd never heard of the brand, and she lived in Canada, which made finding a distributor a little harder. Now, I'm seeing the brand everywhere. The Graza Olive Oil Trio is a great Hanukkah gift — and if my sister likes the brand, I trust it.
We used World of Pastabilities Star of David Pasta for chicken soup at break fast, and it was a hit. Our tip: keep it a surprise, and see who notices the stars first!
If you don't want to make your own soup like me (I get it), keep Nooish Instant Matzo Ball Soup stocked this winter.
Jewish Sparkle
Wear your Judaism and shine with these finds

I love Mamaleh and have a gold "schtick" chain from her, but her colorful jewelry like the Mamaleh Jewish Star Rainbow Necklace is so cute for gifting.
The Oosh Gold Jewish Symbol Necklace is so pretty, and the brand supports Israeli businesses and designers.
The Alex and Ani Menorah Bangle is cute but also a little sassy.
I had a henna party recently and became obsessed with a hand chain I found in Israel. The Jane Hand Chain lives up to my hype.
This brand has so much cute stuff, but I really fell for the dainty Aleph Bet Chai Dangle Ring.
The Love, Lisa Bracelet Stack is a sophisticated version of the stacking bracelet trend.
I've been following this brand for a while, and the Marci Gifts Jewish Star Dangle Earrings have a sweet handmade touch and don't break the bank.
The Susan Alexandra Chutzpah Necklace is iconic. I want one!
I have so much Ariel Tidhar, including her dreidel earrings that I wear every Hanukkah. But the Ariel Tidhar Miriam Menorah Earrings are also calling to me. They're elegant but light!
Festive Fits
Cute, cozy, clothing to wear your Jewish pride

The Zubamboo Hanukkah kids' sweatshirt is not only adorable, but kid-safe.
The Tel A'Vive Boker Tov top reminds me of walking along Frishman Beach in 80-degree weather in November. Ok, that was last month, and I wish I was back there.
The Hamsa Club Curb Dad Hat is perfect for Larry David fans.
PJ Salvage has really cute, soft PJs, so I was so happy when I came accross their adult Hanukkah pajama set.
I found Crafted by Kadi on Instagram, went over to her Etsy page, and thought all of her tie-dye and designs are adorable.
Because I'm with an Israeli who shops at Delta frequently (iykyk), I have embraced wearing Disney. This Disney Mickey Mouse Hanukkah pullover is somethig I'd wear.
When I think of holiday PJs, I think of Midrash Manicures Holiday PJs. They're perfect.
Donut lovers, don't be shy. Wear the DaShaynaPunims Sufganiyot T-shirt and go at it.
Who said socks are a bad gift? I connected with the founder, and she suggested the Bagels & Socks Jelly Donut Set as a perfect gift. The socks are not only cute, but they come rolled up like donuts.
My friends at Menschions have such creative holiday clothing and cards, but I really love their onesie.
Boxes of Nosh
Give a box of memorable “mmm”

I found the Sugar & Plum set on Goldbelly and wanted it immediately.
The See's Candies Hanukkah gift bundle is savory, sweet, and classy.
Give the gift of a New York staple with the Zabar's Hanukkah Gift Set.
I love this sister-owned brand, and the Fatty Sunday's Pretzel set makes a great, tasty gift.
You cannot go wrong with cupcakes. I love this brand and the Baked By Melissa Festival of Bites are tasty and festive!
If you love candy, but want to take it up a notch, go with the Sugarfina Gift Set.
