About the event

CMF x JSC have teamed up to organize a Shabbat dinner at Tribeca Synagouge. This dinner will serve as a fundraiser for a hospital in Israel, as a large portion of your ticket will be donated to help the hospital. The hospital we decided to help is The Soroka Medical Center, located in Be’er Sheva and treating hundreds of severely wounded.

The Shabbat Dinner is for young Jewish professionals in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. (Suggested age: 25-45). There will be an optional service beforehand. If you would like more details about the service, please email: info@tribecasynagogue.org

American Friends of Soroka

Soroka Medical Center is front and center in providing a medical response to the war. Soroka is a strategic asset for the IDF and closely coordinates with Israel’s military and civilian leadership to meet the developing needs in this crisis. Soroka has already treated over 700 patients, approximately 130 of whom are in critical condition. For now, the hospital has suspended elective procedures and treatments. Soroka's dedicated staff is rendering life-saving care around the clock, displaying unwavering resilience in the face of personal loss and fear. Your support is essential to helping Soroka meet this critical demand and to ensure the acquisition of essential medical equipment.

American Friends of Soroka Medical Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the outstanding medical care and breakthrough research at Soroka Medical Center, the leading medical center in Israel and the only major hospital in southern Israel, the country's fastest-growing and most diverse region. Call Me Friday ( CMF )

Michael and Julia started “Call Me Friday” or “CMF” as a way to stay connected to Young Jewish Professionals (YJPs) in New York City. In early 2019, Mike and Julia attended a Shabbat dinner on the Upper West Side. They looked around the room and didn’t know a single person at the event. They said “Let's change that.” In February 2019, CMF was born as a WhatsApp group chat dedicated to sharing YJP events around the city. CMF has now grown to over 300 people solely through referrals and meeting new members in person. CMF is a way for YJPs to stay connected between the Shabbat dinners and holiday events. CMF is for friendships, networking, and even a CMF wedding (Julia met her husband, David, through the community)! CMF provides a medium for members to find a friend or a group of friends to attend Jewish events together. Our hope is that members won't feel out of place like Mike and Julia felt at the Shabbat dinner on the Upper West Side.
